The position holder will be employed by Matamata-Piako District Council while working at South Waikato under a Service Level Agreement.

What you’ll be doing:

  • Working alongside iwi, communities, and partner agencies to build readiness and resilience
  • Planning, coordinating and supporting emergency response activities
  • Delivering training, exercises and community education programmes
  • Developing and maintaining emergency management plans and procedures
  • Supporting response efforts during real events (including being part of a duty roster)
