Water Services Utilities Engineer

As the Water Services Utilities Engineer, reporting to our
Water Services Manager, you’ll take on a variety of responsibilities with a
focus on ensuring that Council’s legislative requirements and service levels
meet standards and comply with regulations.
Your technical knowledge on three waters legislation and
operations will be highly valuable as you provide guidance to various
stakeholders.
You must be able to think outside the box and come up with
innovative solutions, all the while maintaining strong working relationships
and a positive attitude. As a self-starter, you'll be able to prioritise tasks
and handle pressure effectively.
To succeed in this role, you'll need to:
- Hold a tertiary qualification in a Civil, or Environmental Engineering, showcasing your technical ability.
- Have working knowledge of three waters operations and legislation such as the Local Government and Resource Management Acts, Taumata Arowai requirements and New Zealand Drinking Water Standards.
- Have experience in asset management systems and contract management.
- Have experience as Engineers Representative under NZS3910 or NZS3917 contracts
- Be a solutions-focused individual, always seeking innovative ways to overcome challenges.
- Have excellent customer service skills.
Knowledge of Water Outlook and CS-VUE (Resource Consent
compliance reporting system) will be an advantage.
