Water Services Contract Engineer


About the role:

As a member of the Water Services Delivery team this role is responsible for the management of the district-wide Water Services Network Maintenance Contract which deliver Water Services to the district and ensures safe, compliant, efficient, and cost-effective solutions for operations and maintenance, of water assets, this will also include but not limited to

  • Act as the lead for the Water Services Network Management Contract
  • Undertake audits of the contracted service providers performance including asset maintenance and contract information
  • Ensuring accurate invoicing and claim processing within budget
  • Effectively manage customer contacts and requests, including liaison between Council and the contracted service providers
  • Collate, analyse, report and manage asset data and information for all activities within the Water Services Network Management Contract
  • Provide service delivery advice and input, and to provide information on relevant issues to internal and external stakeholders
  • Direct and prioritise operational maintenance needs

About you:

Our ideal candidate will be an excellent communicator with the ability to build and maintain relationships. You will have an engineering degree or similar with contractual experience. You will be able to confidently direct and prioritise operational needs.

You will also have:

  • Experience working within a Contract Management role, ideally with a Contractor and Local Authority within Water Services
  • Working experience with asset management systems software's including AMS and GIS
  • Experience working in a local or central government environment
  • Proven track record in the accuracy and timely gathering, inputting, interpretation and presentation of data
  • Have a level of experience that will be able to provide support for water services projects for enhancement and expansion
  • Effectively manage of the Water Services Network Management Contract in consultation with discipline engineers
