The opportunity awaits…  

We have an exciting opportunity to join our Transport team. In this position you will play a key role in managing the Councils contracted services to ensure that the public transport needs of the pubic in Te Tai Tokerau are met. You will also manage the local ticketing system and be a point of contact for customer enquiries. You will assist with the preparation of Transport Plans and coordinate multiple projects happening within the team. This role would suit someone with previous bus service management skills, project administration or coordination experience. 

Do you have what it takes? 

We are looking for someone who enjoys working in a collaborative team environment and can bring the following:

  • 2 plus years in a role of relevance. 
  • Knowledge of transport issues and functions within Northland. 
  • Developed documentation, report and workflow process writing skills. 
  • Strong community networking and engagement skills with the ability to be innovative around engagement processes. 
  • Experience in use of Microsoft applications especially Word, Excel and Outlook.
