Team Leader - Building Processing


Are you ready to take the next step in your career and lead a motivated, high-performing team? We’re looking for a passionate Team Leader Processing with the technical know-how and leadership skills to guide, coach, and inspire our Building Consent Processing team.

In this Thames based role, you’ll be joining a recognised high-performing Building Consent Authority. This is your chance to shape a collaborative, customer-focused, and technically excellent environment.

What you’ll be doing:

  • Leading, mentoring, and developing a skilled team of processing officers.
  • Ensuring building consent applications are assessed and processed accurately and efficiently.
  • Providing clear, customer-friendly advice to the public, colleagues, and stakeholders.
  • Driving your team to meet and exceed operational targets while maintaining exceptional service standards.

What you’ll bring:

  • A strong understanding of the NZ building consent regulatory framework, local government environment, and relevant legislation.
  • Competency under the National BCA Competency Assessment system – ideally across a wide range of building categories.
  • A recognised Regulation 18 qualification.
  • Strong leadership, communication, and organisational skills.
  • A genuine passion for coaching and growing people.
