Team Leader Building Inspections

As Team Leader - Building Inspections, you'll play a key role in ensuring development across our district is safe, compliant and future-focused. You'll lead a skilled and committed team while working closely with colleagues across processing, compliance, and other functions to deliver a supportive, high-performing work culture.

This role is your opportunity to:

• Lead and support a team of skilled inspection team dedicated to quality, safety, and customer service.
• Champion continuous improvement across our processes and service delivery.
• Provide expert technical guidance to your team, colleagues, and stakeholders.

What you'll bring to the role:

• Strong technical expertise and practical experience in building inspections.
• A Regulation 18 recognised qualification.
• Current BCA competency- ideally across residential and commercial categories.
• Deep understanding of the NZ building consent regulatory framework and local government environment.
• Proven leadership capability with a genuine passion for developing others.
• Strong communication and relationship management skills.
• Excellent time management and prioritisation skills.
