As our Team Leader - Building Inspections, you'll play a key role in ensuring safe, compliant, and forward-thinking development across our district. You'll lead a capable and dedicated team, and work closely with our processing, compliance, and other teams to maintain a culture of collaboration and excellence.

  • Lead and support a team of skilled inspectors committed to quality, safety, and customer service.
  • Drive continuous improvement across systems and service delivery
  • Provide trusted technical guidance to your team and stakeholders

What you'll bring to the role:
  • Strong technical expertise and practical experience in building inspections.
  • A Regulation 18 recognised qualification.
  • Current BCA competency- ideally across residential and commercial categories.
  • Deep understanding of the NZ building consent regulatory framework and local government environment.
  • Proven leadership capability with a genuine passion for developing others.
  • Strong communication and relationship management skills.
  • Excellent time management and prioritisation skills.
