Senior Wastewater Engineer

We are currently seeking a Senior Wastewater Engineer who is passionate, self-motivated and keen to make a real difference to the community.

This is a full-time position (40 hours per week), Monday to Friday.

Reporting to the 3 Waters and Solid Waste Manager, the successful candidate will be joining a well-established, hardworking and dedicated team working across a variety of projects. The role is primarily responsible for supervising and administering the Council's wastewater network, asset management plan and operational contracts, and assisting with mentoring and developing the team's contract supervisors and junior staff. We are seeking someone with a New Zealand Certificate or Diploma in Engineering and extensive relevant experience. It is essential that you have experience in managing contracts, financial budgeting, report writing and related asset management software. You will be able to demonstrate excellent communication skills, well-developed interpersonal skills, and be able to work effectively in a collaborative team environment.
