Senior Transport Planner
Dunedin is an amazing place to live and work, and if you were to ask anyone living here, they’ll tell you that there’s something indescribably special about our city. It’s small enough to feel like you’re part of a community, but big enough to ensure that there’s always something going on. From the great outdoors to arts, culture and education, Dunedin has so much to offer, so why not come and feel just how special it is?
Dunedin City is poised to embark on a number of transformational projects and transport is at the centre of this change. There are exciting times ahead for transport in Dunedin, with relocation of the city’s central Hospital, implementation of our Central City Plan, safety and speed management initiatives across the city, an increasing focus on travel demand management and ongoing improvements to public transport and cycleways.
We are looking for a suitably qualified strategic planner or analyst with vision and drive to complement our Transport Planning team. We are offering you a unique and exciting opportunity to grow your career as part of a Transport Group committed to delivering Dunedin’s future transport needs.
Strategic thinking, planning and policy development will be a key part of your role. You will understand the NZTA business case process, have excellent communication skills, be competent at leading and managing projects, as well as partnership working and understanding others point of view.
Dunedin is a vibrant, thriving city that boasts big city advantages without the downsides. Dunedin offers an exceptional lifestyle, lower costs of living, excellent educational institutes, easy access to work and play, award winning restaurants, arts and recreational facilities.
