Who are we looking for

We are on the hunt for an experienced Roading Asset Engineer to join our Team who will be responsible for providing high-quality, accurate and timely asset management support to our internal asset owners. We're looking for someone who's passionate about what they do, takes pride in their work and isn't afraid to roll up their sleeves and get stuck in.

Your strong work ethic, positive attitude, self-confidence, drive, motivation, great eye for detail and integrity will shine through.

A tertiary qualification in asset management, engineering, or relevant field is highly desirable with strong proven technical experience in a similar role, understanding of RAMM, data migrations, BI and detail within such systems will hold you in excellent regard. Additional experience with local government roading and transportation management practices and associated legislative requirements would be ideal.

What you'll be doing

You will be committed to delivering outcomes in playing an integral part in the development of asset management plans, policies, strategies and standards roading assets and contribute to their wellbeing on behalf of the Community.

Working within the Community Assets team, alongside delivering high quality asset management services you will deliver strong analysis, planning and work programming that aligns with industry best practice. You will work alongside the Roading team and Waikato District Alliance as part of the virtual 'Asset Solutions' team to identify and manage long term renewal and capital works programmes and to assist in the development and implementation of the next digital Asset Management Plan for Roading assets.

You will ensure there is a strong connection between asset planning, operations and successful delivery of information and services to both our internal and external customers, as such you're personable, and a great relationship builder.
