Senior/Principal Planner

We are seeking to bring a new member into our planning team at a senior level who will add to the depth of experience and expertise of this unit.  Working as either a Principal or Senior Planner we are seeking a pragmatic, enabling and solutions focused practitioner.  As a Unit we are focused on finding people who can think differently, act with integrity, make it happen and work together, so cultural and team fit is essential.  If working part time is a preference of yours, we are open to consideration of this and encourage you to share those preferences with us.

As a Senior/Principal Planner you will be influencing and shaping development and providing a senior level contribution to the team.  You will be responsible for processing complex and challenging applications and providing guidance and mentoring to other members of the planning team.  Working collaboratively across Council and leading technical planning projects will also be a key part of the role.

You will have a Bachelor’s Degree in Planning or Resource management, and equivalent tertiary qualification and ideally seven or more years’ experience in planning and resource management application.

Remuneration is negotiable dependent upon skills and experience. Part-time may be considered.
