Elevate Your Planning Career: Senior Consents Planner Opportunity - Let's Plan for Your Future!

Ready to rise to the occasion and take your planning expertise to the next level? We're seeking a dynamic Pūkenga Whakawhanake Whenua - Senior Consents Planner to join our Community and District Development team at the Civic Centre.

As our Senior Consents Planner, you'll provide leadership and mentoring support to the planning consents team, while delivering high-quality, customer-responsive technical planning and resource management advice. You'll contribute to integrated planning solutions, manage risk exposure, and support RMA-related statutory processes, including monitoring of consent conditions, hearings and Environment Court proceedings. This is your chance to really shape the future!

The ideal candidate has a relevant tertiary qualification in Resource Planning or a similar field, with at least 6-7 years' experience, including 1-2 years at a senior level (or the capability to transition to a senior role). You should have experience in statutory hearings and NZPI membership (or eligibility). A strong understanding of relevant legislation, excellent communication skills, and commitment to integrated outcomes are essential. Making Good Decisions Certification is desirable.
