Ready to rise to the occasion and take your planning expertise to the next level? We're seeking a dynamic Pūkenga Whakawhanake Whenua - Senior Consents Planner to join our Community & District Development team at the Civic Centre.

As our Senior Consents Planner, you'll provide leadership and mentoring support to the planning consents team, while delivering high-quality, customer-responsive technical planning and resource management advice. You'll contribute to integrated planning solutions, manage risk exposure, and support RMA-related statutory processes, including hearings and Environment Court proceedings. This is your chance to really shape the future!

The ideal candidate has a relevant tertiary qualification in Resource Planning or a similar field, with 1-2 years' experience at a senior level (or the capability to transition to a senior role). You should have experience in statutory hearings and NZPI membership (or eligibility). A strong understanding of relevant legislation, excellent communication skills, and commitment to integrated outcomes are essential. Making Good Decisions Certification is desirable.
