Road Operations and Safety Team Leader

This is a fantastic opportunity to lead the way in delivering road safety programmes within our district.
We're looking for someone who has an interest in road safety and operational matters of the road space. You will be responsible for managing the Minor Improvements Programme, and be part of a team which oversees and prepares technical documentation around speed limits, traffic controls and other road matters. The overall management of the Tasman Great Taste Cycle Trail will also be a key task for you.
Full time and based in Richmond, you'll be leading a small team by mentoring, developing and motivating them using your proven leadership skills. You'll also be involved in investigating road safety projects projects with a strong focus on delivering excellent operational outcomes to the community.
As a qualified engineer, and experienced supervisor, you will bring a fresh perspective and innovation to the team. You will be an excellent communicator who is confident presenting information to a wide range of audiences and have a sound understanding of the best practices around road safety and operational needs of the road area.
