Reserves Planner - Parks and Facilities

Waikato District Council is seeking a savvy, relationship focused individual to join the Parks and Facilities team as a Reserves Planner. There is a requirement to continue a portfolio of existing work as well as enhance relevant systems and processes. 

Day to day you can expect to be involved in a range of activities from engaging internal and external stakeholders and customers, to developing effective plans that a compliant with legislation. You will be the expert providing strong practical advice that reflect Council's strategic vision and direction.  

To be successful in this role you will have a relevant tertiary qualification or equivalent experience in Planning/Resource Management, Environment Management, Parks Administration or a related field. You will also ideally have minimum five years post qualification experience, with demonstrable knowledge in local government. A comprehensive understanding of NZ resource management processes and procedures will be an advantage. 

This role will suit an individual who is excited about the prospect of putting their stamp in one of New Zealand's fastest growing regions.
