The opportunity - Te āheinga
We have an exciting opportunity for a motivated leader to step into the role of Regulatory Support Service Supervisor as we prepare for a valued team member’s retirement.
This full-time, permanent position plays a key part in ensuring our Consents and Regulatory function runs smoothly and continues to deliver excellent service to our community.
As the conduit between our Consents and Regulatory Officers, wider NPDC business units and the community, you’ll be central to keeping communication clear, timely and effective.
You will provide day-to-day leadership to a team of five Support Services Officers, monitoring workflow, coordinating daily operations and maintaining consistent, high-quality service delivery.

Your leadership will empower your team to provide exceptional support to the broader Consents and Regulatory Group, contributing to positive outcomes for our district.
Key responsibilities - Ngā haepapa matua
- Day-to-day team coordination for the support services team
- Provide effective and efficient application lodgement
- Provide minor application processing services
- Ensure all applications include relevant information to enable timely and effective processing
- Receive applications and assess adequacy for acceptance, ensuring a timely and customer-centric outcome
- Ensure good employer obligations and legislative requirements are met, particularly across relevant legislation
Essential skills and experience - Ngā pūkenga me ngā wheako
- A tertiary qualification is preferred
- Experience working in a customer or administrative role is preferred
- Experience working in a regulatory environment or the building industry
- Knowledge of relevant Regulatory Services Acts and related legislation

You can expect to start in this permanent, full-time role with a salary of between $82,491 and $88,906.
