Hastings has nationally recognised parks and recreation facilities and a team that strives to provide quality public spaces for the community. We are looking for a motivated Public Spaces Operations Manager to join the Public Spaces & Building Assets team within the Waste, Parks and Cemeteries Group.  

This role will coordinate and manage all operations and maintenance activities provided by the Parks team.   The role is responsible for the co-ordination and management of all operations and maintenance activities on parks and open spaces of the District.

To be successful in this role you will:

• Hold a relevant qualifications and experience in contract management.
• Have proven experience in parks and open space operations management 
• Have a sound understanding and working knowledge of Contract Legislation 
• Have developed Computer skills and experience in RAMM 
• Be able to communicate professionally, both in writing and verbally
• Have excellent customer service skills
• Be committed to working alongside the community to provide quality outcomes
