Property Portfolio Specialist
Tauranga City Council is responsible for the effective management of the Councils property portfolio and we are seeking a Property Specialists focusing on the Spaces and Places (Parks and Reserves) portfolio to join our Property Team.
The role of Property Specialist manages the tenancies for Tauranga City Council (TCC) x leased premises and involves leasing vacant premises and Open Spaces while ensuring that the terms of TCC's tenancy agreements and Community needs are met. You will be negotiating and completing tenancy agreements and renewals, including the drafting of complex or nonstandard terms and conditions relating to tenancies across a broad portfolio. Also, maintaining a strong working relationship with Internal Asset Managers, Community Groups, external agencies, tenants, public, iwi and councillors.
Our goal is to exceed expectations at all levels so we are looking for an individual who is customer centric driven, delivery and outcome focused and can work towards the bigger picture and vision. No day in this job is the same dealing with a diverse portfolio which makes it interesting and varied.
We are looking for someone who ideally has a Property Management background however we would also consider someone from other industries such as the legal sector, Community Advisor and Public or Private sector.
You will need to have; sound organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects and prioritise tasks well, be outcome focussed and bring strong negotiation and communication skills, both written and verbal.
