Property Information Officer

Are you ready to play a key role in managing the property data that underpins Council services?
We are seeking a detail-focused and motivated Property Information Officer to join our team.
In this role, you'll be responsible for the creation, maintenance, and accuracy of property and land data across the Thames-Coromandel district. Your work will support Council operations, public services, and community development.
About the Role
As the Property Information Officer, you will take ownership of the property data lifecycle—from the creation of new property parcels to ongoing maintenance, audits, and updates. Your work will directly support informed decision-making across Council services and ensure our records remain accurate, timely, and compliant with relevant legislation and standards.
Key Responsibilities include:
- Maintain accurate property records including subdivisions, boundary adjustments, new roads, and flats plans.
- Manage street numbering and hazard information
- Liaise with internal teams, LINZ, Waikato Regional Council, and other stakeholders.
- Handle property-related queries (e.g., Titles, addressing, LIMs, covenants).
We're seeking someone with a keen eye for detail, a proactive mindset, and a passion for data accuracy.
You will have:
- Experience in a similar role or working with property information in a local government or similar environment.
- Experience in a role where researching skills are key.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills to collaborate across teams and agencies.
- Working knowledge of property data, legislation, addressing standards, and rating systems.
- Familiarity with systems such as Infor Pathway and proficiency in Microsoft Office.
