Project Manager - Infrastructure Delivery


Full-time | Based in Mangawhai or Dargaville + Work from Home options

Are you an experienced project manager who knows how to move work forward, solve problems, and deliver results? Join our Project Delivery team and lead significant infrastructure projects that make a real difference for our communities.

About the opportunity

You'll oversee a portfolio of capital works projects from early planning through to design, procurement, construction, closeout and handover. This role suits someone who brings structure and momentum to complex delivery, coordinating technical inputs, stakeholders and contractors to keep projects on track and on budget.

In this role, you will:

  • Lead the delivery of capital works projects from planning through to completion.
  • Develop and manage project plans, budgets, risks, and procurement strategies.
  • Ensure compliance with Council's project governance frameworks and policies.
  • Build strong relationships with contractors, consultants, and internal stakeholders.
  • Support continuous improvement through effective closeout, reporting, and lessons learned.

About You

We're after a proactive and organised professional who's confident managing multiple priorities and engaging with a range of stakeholders. Your ability to solve problems, control costs, and deliver on time will be key to your success.

You'll bring:

  • 3+ years' experience delivering infrastructure, 3 Waters, or civil construction projects.
  • Proven experience managing project finances, budgets, and procurement.
  • Strong understanding of contractor management and delivery processes.
  • Familiarity with local government or similar governance environments.
  • Qualified Engineer or project management certification (preferred but not essential).
