Project Engineer/Manager


The Stratford District Council is currently entering a very exciting time with upcoming capital works and projects. If you have relevant experience with project management and capital works then this could be the change you are looking for in the New Year!


The ability to prepare, schedule, and monitor capital works projects, manage the procurement for these projects, and hold effective engagement with stakeholders and iwi are essential skills to be successful in this role.


This is a full-time position (40 hours per week) which includes:


  • Planning and delivery of engineering capital projects
  • Management and delivery of special projects
  • Effective financial management and budgetary control

The ideal candidate will demonstrate excellent communications skills, have proven budgeting and procurement experience a relevant tertiary qualification in engineering or a related discipline, and be excellent at delivering to a set timeframe. Proven experience in contract management is essential. Local government experience would be an advantage.
