Te wero – The Challenge
Future planning for infrastructure requirements is critical to the success of the Far North. The focus of this role is develop strategies and manage consent renewal programmes to ensure council’s infrastructure is affordable and fit for purpose into the future. We need to renew eight wastewater discharge consents in the next five years. We also need to continue to develop long term strategies to support statutory processes and good decision making..
Mō koe – About You
Your focus will be the 30 Year Infrastructure Strategy and programme management of the wastewater discharge consent renewals. We’re looking for someone to provide thought leadership to complement the existing technical infrastructure planning knowledge in the team. You’ll have an in-depth understanding of infrastructure planning principles, confidence with applying those principles on the ground and will be familiar with local government requirements.
