Network Supervisor (Northland Transportation Alliance)
The Northland Transportation Alliance (NTA) is a collaboration between the Whangarei, Kaipara and Far North District Councils, Northland Regional Council and Waka Kotahi(New Zealand Transport Agency to deliver joined-up transportation services for Northland. This holder of this role will be employed by Kaipara District Council and will be based in Whangarei.
About the role:
This is a key role within the Transportation team based in the Whangarei offices. You will collect, process and evaluate information for routine and programmed works, to ensure a forward work programme is undertaken to maintain the roading network to the specified service level. You will also provide technical support to the Area Supervisors to ensure a consistent quality across the roading network. In addition to BAU deliverables, you will also be involved in managing the delivery of significant road works projects and providing 2IC support to the Maintenance Lead.
To be successful in this role we are looking for someone with strong communication skills who enjoys being part of a team. Effective time management and a proven ability to work to deadlines are also important for this role. Minimum requirements for this role are:
- NZCE (Civil) or other relevant tertiary qualification in civil engineering or relevant experience.
- A minimum of 5 years post qualification experience in road maintenance, construction or sealing.
- Experience in contract management/supervision, including design and construct projects.
- Strong computer literacy.
- Competence utilizing Pocket RAMM and RAMM Contractor database software.
- Current, clean driver's licence.
