Manager - Libraries & Community

As Manager - Libraries & Community, you'll lead a passionate, skilled team to deliver high-quality, inclusive services that respond to community needs and support Council's strategic goals. You'll have the autonomy to shape direction, the influence to drive change, and the support to lead improvement across a valued public service.

What you'll be doing

• Leading the delivery of the District Library Strategic Plan and translating strategy into action
• Setting clear priorities through business planning, performance measures, and KPIs
• Driving continuous improvement, service innovation, and operational efficiencies
• Building and nurture strong relationships with communities, partners, and stakeholders
• Creating an environment where people feel supported, motivated, and empowered to do their best work
• Developing high-performing, resilient teams and coaching leaders for success
• Working collaboratively with senior leaders across Council to deliver integrated outcomes

• A confident, values-led leader with experience managing teams and complex services
• Strong people leadership skills, including coaching, performance management, and team development
• Strategic thinking paired with sound operational judgement
• A collaborative approach and the ability to engage meaningfully with communities
• A commitment to continuous improvement and service excellence
