Management Accountant

Have you been thinking about getting out of the city? Or have you been thinking about coming back home to the Coromandel? Now’s your chance!

We have an opportunity for a switched on Management Accountant who will provide financial advice, modelling, mentoring and play a big part in producing our Annual and Long-Term Plans.

When you choose to live and work here, you can experience what New Zealanders feel when they are on holiday, every day!  World class beaches; iconic holiday destinations; great backcountry tramping, biking, diving and yet still close to the cities.

You will be a qualified accountant (CA) with the ability to lead and mentor. Your analytical skills, creative reasoning and sense of humour will complement your practical knowledge of financial accounting, financial systems management, processes and reporting standards.

As a qualified accountant and a member of CAANZ, you'll have relevant experience in a similar role to hit the ground running. You will be results oriented, adaptable, forward thinking and able to manage deadlines. Working closely with budget managers, your confident communication style and good judgement skills will be essential.

At Thames-Coromandel District Council we offer you support for your continued professional development, market based remuneration and the opportunity to work with a professional and enthusiastic team.

So, if you enjoy leading and collaborating, have an eye for detail, you’re self-motivated as well as a motivator and believe in making a real contribution to the organisation you work for, then we want to hear from you.

Please note applicants must be legally able to work in New Zealand.
