About the role - The Maintenance Planning Engineer will develop and optimise maintenance strategies, plans and asset care standards for Water Services (drinking water, wastewater and stormwater) converting asset performance insights into executable preventive and corrective maintenance programmes and internal Service Level Agreements (SLAs). Additional duties include developing preventive and predictive maintenance schedules to maximise uptime and extend asset life, assisting with the implementation and improvement of asset management and planning processes, actively managing any maintenance backlog and work is prioritised by risk, criticality and consequence of failure. This position plays a vital role in coordinating with operations to bundle work, plan shutdowns and minimise service disruption.

Do you have what it takes? - This is a busy role and there is plenty of variety. You will also ensure maintenance plans are risk based, targeting failure modes that drive service disruption, compliance risk or high lifecycle cost and much more.

About You - You're a proactive team player with a degree in engineering (mechanical, electrical, process or similar), or equivalent experience. You bring a "can-do" attitude and expertise in maintenance planning systems and developing works programmes. You understand GIS and asset data structures and have advanced excel skills to maintain accurate data recording.

The salary range for this position is from $89,370 to $99,300pa, with the starting salary to be determined based on the successful candidate's skills and experience. This will be discussed with shortlisted applicants during the interview process.
