Here at New Plymouth District Council we are on a journey to becoming the leaders in contemporary local government. To do this we need great people on board to ensure we succeed. Right now we are looking for a highly motivated and experienced health and safety professional to join our People and Well-being team for a six month fixed term period. You will support the delivery of the Council's health and safety priorities and programmes, with a view to enhancing the health and safety performance of individuals, teams and the Council.
As a qualified health and safety professional you will be supported by at least five years' work experience with New Zealand health and safety legislation, injury management practices and requirements, and systems for effectively managing health, safety and well-being.
As one of our HSE Business Partners you will be actively promoting the prevention of incidents by partnering directly with teams, supporting the Council in undertaking effective incident investigations and assisting with the maintenance, communication, implementation and compliance of health and safety policies, procedures, and systems.
