Graduate Development Engineer

Make this your first step into a civil engineering career. The Waipā District is one of the top five growth areas in New Zealand. As such we are looking for a graduate to provide civil engineering support and assistance to our team and key stakeholders in relation to upcoming and future developments.

In this role, you will be responsible for assisting our development engineering team with the co-ordination of Council's statutory obligations and requirements regarding vehicle crossings, road numbers and road names in accordance with Council policy. You will also have the opportunity to facilitate system improvements and quality control for the team.

Ideally we are looking for someone who has a keen interest, and ideally a qualification in any engineering related discipline, along with at least 1 years general engineering experience. Strong administration skills and a can do attitude are also a must. Due to legislation governing our work, you will also require exceptional time management skills, cope well working under pressure and have exceptional attention to detail.
