So, a bit about you
You will love a challenge, be a systemic thinker and a change leader, who can sift through complexities to find the best way forward as we continue our journey to mature and develop our finance, people, wellbeing, IT and information strategies, sustainably.
You will be a seasoned professional who understands strategy and the need to deliver on our commitments. As an excellent communicator and collaborator, you will work alongside your colleagues on the Senior Leadership team and with our talented teams, to deliver to our long-term plans.
You will be an experienced leader in the finance world but also understand the breadth of corporate services and will relish the opportunity to create an environment where your direct report managers, and their people, thrive and feel empowered to deliver effective corporate services for the wider organisation.
Some of the specifics
- Degree in accountancy or other related discipline essential and post-graduate qualification
- Ten years’ experience in senior management and capability in leading and managing people, ideally across a range of corporate services disciplines
- A thorough understanding of the legal and regulatory framework of local government is a must for success in this role
- Understands principles and practices of strategic HR and the impact on organisations
- Able to work across disciplines to motivate and engage to deliver strategic outcomes for the business
- Proven experience in delivering strategic plans, monitoring and managing for effective outcomes
