ABOUT THE ROLE – NGĀ ĀHUATANGA O TE TŪRANGA

Operating across the organisation, our Finance Business Partners work collaboratively with an allocated portfolio of diverse business units to facilitate the best financial decisions that create value for ratepayers and the community. This varied role has both financial and management accounting elements, but effective relationship building will be the key to your success.

 

The Finance Team cover a variety of work from Annual and Long-term planning to policy development and general accounting services. Your focus will be working with key stakeholders to bring about financial separation of the Three Waters function from Council and supporting other finance work streams. To encourage a solid knowledge base, your professional development & a supportive team culture, you will work collaboratively with fellow Finance Business Partners and the wider Finance team to ensure collective, consistent exceptional performance and service delivery.

 

WHO WE ARE LOOKING FOR - KEI TE KIMI  MĀTOU I TĒNEI MOMO TANGATA

Our ideal candidate will be a qualified accountant (or possess the equivalent experience) with a public sector background. You’ll have exceptional interpersonal skills enabling you to establish positive working partnerships at all levels of Council & with external agencies. You’ll need to be adaptable to changing work priorities & enjoy a challenge. We’re looking for a self-starter to take ownership of this role who is focused on continuous improvement.
