Wellington Mayor's Office Events and Projects Coordinator

The Wellington Mayor leads a council with bold plans for the city's future. His diary includes a number of significant events and projects aimed at ensuring the capital thrives. In this role you will be working closely with the Mayor on events and projects by taking the lead with their planning, development and implementation.

You'll handle and coordinate inquiries and bookings to ensure a seamless experience for the Mayor, external parties, hosts and attendees.

Your job will be to engage and interact with clients on a daily basis. Much of this interaction will be behind the scenes via email and phone. You will have very strong and professional administrative and organisational skills that include excellent attention to detail and the ability to monitor and manage event finances.

Ideally, you'll hold a qualification in event coordination/management, or similar, with proven ability to develop and maintain networks and relationships.

You'll play an integral part in some memorable events in our city. This is a full-time position, working 40 hours per week. Some flexibility will be needed as you will be required to attend some evening events and occasionally work on weekends.
