Development Engineer - Geotech

Our Tairāwhiti/Gisborne region is undergoing transformation. Our population and economy is growing and accordingly our Consents Team is too.
As a Development Engineer (Geotech) and part of our Consents Team you will have an integral role in managing the development and growth occurring across the region. Your unique skill-set will be well utilised through land use and multi-lot subdivision, residential and commercial development and forestry and land stability activities. Working alongside our planners and directly with developers will ensure that you have significant input and can make a positive contribution to Tairāwhiti future. This role will excite those who have excellent communication and relationship management skills.
To be successful in this role you will have:
- Engineering based degree
- Geotechnical related degree
- Customer service experience
- Previous Local Government experience may be an advantage.
