Whanganui District Council's Property Group is looking for an accomplished delivery manager with a background and interest in community property to lead their Parks, Property and Facilities functions. The network includes approximately:
- 300 Pensioner flats
- 700 parcels/license of property
- 80 investment properties
- 200 Parks
- 6,500 Street trees and over 12,000 other trees
As Delivery Manager, you will lead the operational delivery of asset and open spaces related strategies, policies and plans within Councils obligations as the owner or administrator. You will also support the strategic management of the property portfolio valued at $160 million. All this to ensure that there is enduring value for the community use and experience of our community assets.
Reporting to the General Manager - Community Property and Places, this role requires a passion for people leadership, asset management, and for supporting Council to successfully meet commitments to our community in a positive and collaborative way. You will also be required to interact with and lead community based conversations and facilitate community outcomes.
To be successful in this role you will need:
- Strong interpersonal, relationship management and communication skills
- Excellent organisation and problem solving skills and the ability to juggle multiple projects and support the operational delivery and strategic management of the portfolio.
- Outstanding leadership, relationship building and strategic decision making skills
- Experience providing mentorship and encouraging professional growth amongst your staff.
