Customer Support Officer
The South Taranaki i-SITE will shortly take on the AA Agency for Hawera (South Taranaki) following the closure of the Hawera branch at the end of June and are looking for someone to fill this newly created position. We are looking for an enthusiastic and motivated individual with plenty of initiative to help provide a high quality, friendly service to all visitors to the South Taranaki i-SITE Visitor Centre which provides assistance to visitors to the district, local residents and AA customers.
This is a permanent full-time position with core hours of 40 per week based at the South Taranaki i-SITE. The centre is open 364 days a year, so the ability to work school holidays, weekends and public holidays is a must.
The Customer Support Officer is responsible for ensuring that customers are provided with a high-quality customer experience, providing information they require in a friendly and efficient manner. This job offers variety plus, providing local information, travel and accommodation bookings, souvenir sales, box office ticket sales, AA related services including but not limited to vehicle registrations, road user charges, driver license testing, change of ownerships, IRD verifications and much more. Full training will be provided.
Great customer service ethic is a must and we place a high value on the ability to communicate well, therefore strong communication and interpersonal skills are essential as is a thorough knowledge of the local area, and a reasonable knowledge of New Zealand. Computer literacy is also required as there are numerous booking and AA systems to be utilised.
