Nelson City Council’s Customer Service team are dedicated to providing a high-quality, welcoming and customer-focused service to the Nelson Community. 

In this newly created role in the Customer Service leadership team, you’ll work alongside the Team Leader to provide day-to-day operational management of all aspects of the customer service centre. 

Leveraging your technical expertise, you’ll sink your teeth into workforce planning, analysis and rostering. You’ll review service quality, provide training and coaching, and manage the knowledge base to ensure we continue to uphold our high customer service standards and develop the team. You’ll have direct management responsibility of our Customer Service Cadet, helping them to grow their skills and thrive within the work environment.

You’ll bring proven experience in customer service or contact centre supervision, with key strengths in workflow management and contact centre software. You’re a self-starter, energised by exceptional customer service and setting the team up for success.
