Customer Experience Representative


  • $29.90 per hour starting rate
  • Monday - Friday 40 hours per week

About the role:
  • As a Customer Experience Representative, you'll be part of a fast-paced and supportive environment where you can make a real difference. We are a vibrant team so a love for working collaboratively is a must, along with great communication skills.

This is full time role, Monday to Friday 8.30am - 5.00pm.

Key responsibilities:

  • Provide excellent frontline customer service.
  • Respond to email queries and answer phone calls.
  • Maintain a working knowledge of procedures, regulations, acts, by-laws, legislative requirements.
  • Assist residents and customers with services on behalf of external agencies such as driver licensing, RealMe identity verification, IRD number applications, and SuperGold card photo ID.
  • Maintain confidentiality and security of all customer and Council information.
  • Ensure enquiries that require further action or are unable to be answered at the first point of contact are recorded accurately and referred to Council staff for action.
  • Apply practical skills and knowledge to resolve customer enquiries.

About you:

You will be a highly motivated and customer focused person with the ability to adapt quickly and ensure policy and procedures are followed.

You will also have:

  • At least 2 years previous customer service experience
  • Demonstrable experience in dealing with the public and handling difficult situations.
  • Excellent people skills, able to relate to and connect with a wide range of backgrounds, ages, and cultures. A genuine enjoyment in communicating with people.
  • Ability to quickly adapt within a fast past environment, retain new information, learn new technologies and systems.
  • A high degree of self-motivation and initiative - highly motivated, calm, reliable and flexible.
