Do you enjoy being out and about during the day and have a natural ability with people? We are seeking a Compliance Officer to join our team. This role is full time and based predominantly around the Whangamata area.
A typical day will include a mixture of responding to customer queries and undertaking district wide patrols around freedom camping, dog control, litter, parking and more. You will work out in the community, often on your own but as part of a wider team with some office work.
We need an excellent communicator who enjoys problem solving.
This role would suit someone who has a compliance background and experience dealing with complaints and monitoring compliance activities. You will need to be familiar with MS office and have some report writing skills. If you have experience in undertaking investigations and managing files through to prosecution stage this is a bonus!
Someone who is confident in their decision making and able to analyse key information with good judgement along with a calm approach to resolving situations should also apply!
The position requires some weekend, on call and after hours work on a rostered basis.
