Community Facilites Manager

Shape the future of community spaces in a leadership role that blends strategic oversight with operational delivery – in the lifestyle location of central Hawke’s Bay!
You’ll manage a diverse portfolio of community facilities and open spaces that includes theatres, a museum, swimming pools, public toilets, parks and reserves, sportsgrounds and playgrounds.
About the Role
- Support a small, dedicated team through clear priorities and effective leadership.
- Lead the strategic planning of community facility assets and elevate asset management practices.
- Oversee operations, maintenance, renewals, and capital programmes.
- Manage contracts and the performance of service providers.
- Shape and strengthen relationships across council and with the community.

Ideal
Background
You’ll hold a relevant tertiary qualification in Facilities Management, Asset
Management, or similar and have significant experience managing assets or
facilities. Your experience might come from local government, property or
facilities management, consulting, or a community-focused sector. Ideally,
you’ll be a member of a professional organisation such as FMANZ or a similar
body.
