The opportunity - Te āheinga

We're looking for a skilled Change Management Advisor to join our Delivery and Enablement Group in a permanent, full-time role. With this position becoming available due to internal movement, it presents a fantastic opportunity to step into a highly visible and impactful role at the heart of our organisation's transformation efforts.

Right now, several priority initiatives are underway or entering critical phases, and they require strong, structured change leadership to ensure successful adoption and benefits realisation.

As our Change Management Advisor, you'll lead and manage the people side of change, ensuring these initiatives and others are understood, embraced and effectively embedded across the organisation.

Your work will be pivotal in helping project teams plan for change, guiding leaders through impact and engagement strategies and ensuring our people have the clarity, capability and confidence to adopt new ways of working.

This is the perfect role for someone who's passionate about making change meaningful and sustainable and who thrives on collaboration, influence and enabling others to succeed.

Key responsibilities - Ngā haepapa matua

  • Identify and highlight the people, process and technology impacts of the project and plan activities to support adoption
  • Develop change strategies, plans, impact assessments, communication plans and training plans
  • Identify impacted groups, systems, processes and data and develop strategies to support the change
  • Plan and facilitate change management workshops with project teams and stakeholders
  • Identify and manage change issues and risks and develop contingency plans
  • Build strong relationships with stakeholders and support leaders to drive change
  • Provide clear and timely communications to support awareness and readiness
  • Deliver and track change outcomes and benefits realisation
  • Identify opportunities for continuous improvement in change and training delivery
  • Conduct training needs assessments and deliver training as required

Essential skills and experience - Ngā pūkenga me ngā wheako

  • Bachelor's degree in Management, Information Technology or relevant experience
  • Two to five years' experience in change management and implementing organisational change
  • Hands-on ability to produce communications and training materials
  • Familiarity with programme and project management approaches including Prince2, PMI and Agile

Desirables:

  • Experience working with Kaupapa Māori, competency in Tikanga and applying a Te Ao Māori lens
  • Experience in a complex public facing environment with knowledge of local government legislation
  • Qualification in change management methodology
  • Coaching qualification or similar

You can expect to start in this permanent, full-time role with a salary of between $88,157 - $95,013.
