Building Support & Quality Officer

We're looking for an organised and customer-oriented Building Support & Quality Officer to join our Building Compliance team. This is a varied and rewarding role where you'll provide essential administrative and customer support across building consent and compliance processes.
What you'll be doing
- Supporting building consent and Project Information Memorandum (PIM) processes from application through to completion
- Vetting applications to ensure compliance with legislative and regulatory requirements
- Assisting customers with enquiries and guiding them through Council processes
- Maintaining accurate records, systems, and reporting
- Coordinating inspections and helping manage team workflows
What you'll bring
- Proven administration experience with strong attention to detail
- A customer-first mindset with confident and clear communication skills
- The ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a busy environment
- A positive, collaborative approach and willingness to learn
It would be great if you also have
- Experience working in local government
- A relevant qualification and/or willingness to study towards a NZ Certificate in Building Regulatory Environment (In employment) (Level 4)
