From geothermal wonders to a community with real heart, this is a place like no other - and we're on the lookout for a Building Compliance Officer who's just as passionate as us about keeping it safe, vibrant, and future-ready.
In this role, you'll be right at the centre of making sure buildings with specified systems are safe, well maintained, and doing exactly what they're supposed to do.
You'll be issuing Compliance Schedules, improving existing ones, managing Building Warrant of Fitness renewals, getting out and about for onsite BWOF audits and collaborating with independent qualified persons. Some days you'll even be jumping in to undertake swimming pool audits to support community safety.
No two days look the same - and that's half the fun.
You might have a relevant tertiary qualification, or you might bring strong industry experience - either way, we're keen to hear from you. If you've got knowledge of the Building Act, Building Code, or Local Government Act, great.
If not, don't worry - bring your curiosity, enthusiasm, and commitment to great customer service, and we'll support you to build the rest.
This is your chance to grow your career in a supportive, high-performing team that's genuinely passionate about what we do. If you're driven, detail-minded, and ready to make a real difference across the Rotorua district, we'd love to meet you.
