The opportunity - Te āheinga
We're looking for an experienced and motivated Aquatics Manager to lead the efficient and effective operation of our district pools for a fixed-term of 12 months.
Based at the Todd Energy Aquatic Centre, you'll play a key role in delivering safe, high-quality aquatic services in line with our annual business plan.
In this leadership role, you'll manage three direct reports and oversee day-to-day operations, ensuring our facilities run smoothly and meet community needs.

Key responsibilities - Ngā haepapa matua
- Deliver aquatic recreation centre operations, programmes, events and services to accepted national standards, relevant government legislation and current Council policies
- Assist with the development and lead the implementation of business development and marketing plans to maximise revenue and patronage
- Ensure effective facility management
- Actively ensure that good employer obligations and legislative requirements are fulfilled, particularly in relation to all key relevant legislation
Essential skills and experience - Ngā pūkenga me ngā wheako
- Commercial or business experience, particularly related to management in a leisure facility environment
- Leadership experience in a leisure facility
- Swimming Pool Water Treatment Operators certificate is desirable
- Relevant business qualification, for example a business or commerce degree

You can expect to start in this fixed-term, full-time role with a salary of between $112,646 and $121,406.
