Reporting to the Manager – Strategy Development, you will undertake policy tasks that may be stand-alone or part of a larger or more intricate policy issue, strategy or project.
Calling all policy professionals! FNDC is currently recruiting for the position Strategic Planner with a strong policy background who will support the development and delivery of high profile, innovative, evidence based policy projects. The successful applicant will be a strategic thinker with strong analytical and research skills. You will have experience in policy development– highlighting your exceptional verbal and written communication skills. You will also be able to navigate the political landscape applying your excellent stakeholder and relationship management skills.
You will also need to have the following:
- An understanding of New Zealand's political, economic, cultural and social structures
- Good oral and written communication skills, including the ability to present complex issues clearly, accurately and concisely
- An understanding of the principles of Treaty of Waitangi, and their implications for the work of policy development is essent
