Senior Land Development Engineer


Rotorua Lakes Council has an exciting and challenging opportunity for someone who can provide sound and integrated land development engineering assessment and advice for consent applications to the Organisation.

Our organisation is all about innovation and creative solutions, working with the community to create a new way forward and progress the Rotorua district's shared vision and goals.

Working within the Land Development and Utilities division of the Infrastructure Group, the successful applicant will be required to deliver a senior level of solutions focussed advice that is customer responsive as well as influence engineering decision making by Consultants who represent Developers.

A Professional Engineering Qualification - Minimum BE (Civil) Engineering, MIPENZ is required. You will also have five plus years' experience in a Land Development environment. CPEng with relevant post-graduate experience is desirable.

We are looking for someone who understands the need to balance customer satisfaction and sustainable economic development objectives with public expectations, public safety, environmental considerations, legislation, and the ability to effectively communicate this to customers. 

If you have strong analytical skills with the ability to manage and use data to inform and make meaningful decisions, excellent interpersonal and communication skills and the ability to meet deadlines, organise workloads and determine priorities we look forward to receiving your application.
