Kāpiti Coast District Council is seeking an exceptional senior manager to lead our Resource Consents and Compliance team. This is a key leadership role with the Regulatory Services Group, and a strong commitment to delivering on our Open for Business approach is essential.
The sunny Kāpiti Coast is thriving and poised for further growth. Decisions were recently released on the Proposed District Plan, signalling a change in the planning framework for the District. Subdivision and land development along with two major roading projects underway are keeping us busy, making it an exciting time to work in Kāpiti.
To be successful technical expertise in resource management is essential, and you’ll need demonstrated effective leadership experience to support building and maintaining engaged high performing teams. Great communication, sound judgement and excellent relationship management are key skills you’ll need in this role, along with having a solutions focus and strong commitment to excellent customer service. Local government experience is not a requirement but would be a distinct advantage.
