Reserves and Facilities Manager

Our beautiful District has an abundance of parks, reserves and other open spaces for the community to enjoy and we're looking for an experienced manager, preferably from either a regional or district council, to fill this key operational and management level position.

The present job holder is moving to a new role within the team so we are taking the opportunity to position the team for the future so they can continue to provide our community with well managed and maintained parks, reserves, sportgrounds, playgrounds and other community facilities.

Your main focus will be leading the team, by mentoring, coaching and sharing your parks and reserves management knowledge with them. You will understand the importance of community relationships and collaboration, be an exceptional communicator, have good financial acumen, an excellent working knowledge of the Reserves Act 1977, and be experienced in all aspects of reserves and facilities asset management.

You will also be well equipped with project and contractor management experience, including health and safety responsibilities, and have a good working knowledge of asset management databases.
