Environmental Data Advisor (Resource Pressure Analysis)

We have an exciting opportunity for an Environmental Data Advisor to join the Data team in the Environmental Monitoring Section of the Science and Strategy Directorate. 

The Environmental Data Advisor supports the Environmental Monitoring section to deliver a high quality data work programme for the directorate and council. 

To be successful in this role it is expected you will have a qualification in Information Systems or equivalent. You will also require knowledge, experience and understanding of complex data sets and large interconnected database systems.  A strong understanding and demonstration of SQL and related toolsets is essential. 

This role also extends beyond just data management to analysis and interpretation on the information derived, with a particular reporting focus on resource pressure analysis - for example, what water is available and how much is being used. 

In addition, you need good written and verbal communication skills and will be confident communicating with a wide range of internal and external stakeholders
