The Tasman region is thriving and we need developing and experienced planners for our resource consenting role as a Unitary Authority. Based in the Richmond Office this is fabulous opportunity to join a team of dedicated, experienced consent planners.

There will be a varied range of responsibilities with a focus on District land use or subdivision consenting. The job may include giving advice and processing of LIMs, PIMs, Certificates of Compliance, and S223 and S224 approvals for subdivision consents. You will also contribute towards a programme of continuous improvement involving the development of procedures and guidelines for processing resource consent applications.

It goes without saying that you will have great communication skills, dealing confidently with resource consent applicants, providing accurate advice, and acting as a duty planner on a routine basis.

As a minimum you will hold a degree in planning, resource or environmental management or associated field, while being familiar with with RMA and consent processing and compliance requirements. Experience with Landonline for subdivision approvals would also be an advantage.
