Wellington City Council is seeking an experienced manager who is a visionary, solutions focused and innovative leader with a good understanding of community and customer service and the ability to engage effectively with staff to build strong, collaborative teams. You will engage with a wide range of community stakeholders to deliver community aspirations through facilities and services including libraries, parking, community programmes, community spaces, city safety, and community development.
Reporting to the Chief Operating Officer, the successful candidate will be degree level educated in a relevant field (or have equivalent experience) and can demonstrate knowledge or experience in the following:
- Senior management within a political environment
- Local government service delivery
- Working with communities
- Customer service
- Sound business management
- Building successful relationships
- People leadership
- Proven ability to manage and deliver in a changing and pressured environment
