The Kāpiti Coast is poised for growth, and major infrastructure projects are providing economic benefit for the whole district. We're looking for a Chief Financial Officer who will help us to be well positioned for the next phase in our district's development.
The Chief Financial Officer is a key leadership role. You will have all the number-crunching experience that comes with the role, and you will provide astute financial guidance to the council at both governance and management levels. Most crucially you will be a leader, able to champion our 'Open for Business' approach through your demonstrated customer focus and your ability for getting the job done.
A key responsibility is leading the delivery of our financial strategy across the organisation and to the wider district. You will have great communication skills and the ability to develop strong stakeholder relationships, and a solutions focus.
Local government experience is not a requirement but would be an advantage. You may be an experienced CFO or a senior financial practitioner/financial controller looking for your next step up. What we are looking for is the person who fits our culture and will successfully lead and develop our finance team.
